7 Simple Tips To Reduce Your STRESS Right Now
Let's face it: We all. But luckily, there are many creative ways to combat feeling overwhelmed to help feel better in no time. This week, we asked our(again!) for their go-to ways to. From running without a watch to just breathing, they have some pretty great ways to de-stress. Check em out and see if any of their methods can help you!
1. running gps-free
The best stress relief for me is a long run with no GPS watch. I don't want to have to worry about my pace or splits. This allows me to just empty my mind and enjoy the beauty around me, or sometimes to just think through whatever is stressing me in the first place.
My favorite way to reduce stress is through my weekly accupuncture sessions. It puts me at ease and not only allows me to heal, but recover and remove all things around me. I also happen to take the best naps while the needles are in my back, legs, and neck.
3. write it out
My favorite way to reduce stress is to write out my stresses on paper. I find when I write out what I feel and why I feel it, I'm instantly lighter and more calm. It's like sharing with a close friend, only more intimate.
4. wine, chocolate, and a book
My favorite way to reduce stress is to pour myself a glass of wine, have a little dark chocolate, and curl up with a good book for a couple of hours.
5. just breathe
I find some place very quiet, and I zone out, turning my mind completely off. I take three deep breaths and give myself a few minutes to get myself back together. Sometimes I'll listen to music too.
6. music and a bath
I love to take a hot bath with Epsom salts and six drops off peppermint oil, then light a candle and turn on a meditation station on Pandora. This always calms me down after a stressful day!
Cooking! Maybe it's chopping veggies that releases my tension, but being able to work with my hands and allow my mind to be in the moment in the kitchen is always a relief.
